PAULA DEEN MEATLOAF RECIPE INGREDIENTS 1 pound lean ground beef 1¼ teaspoons salt ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper ½ cup chopped onion ½ cup chopped bell pepper 1 large egg 1 cup diced canned tomatoes with their juice ½ cup quick cooking oats Topping Ingredients ⅓ cup ketchup 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1 tablespoon yellow mustard ⏩ INSTRUCTIONS Place a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 375 F. In a large bowl mix together all meatloaf ingredients well. Place the mixture into a 9×13-inch glass or ceramic baking dish and shape into a loaf. Mix together the topping ingredients and spread over the loaf. Bake until done, about 1 hour. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Old Fashioned Cream Cheese Pound Cake Recipe Ingredients 1 cup butter (softened) 1/2 cup shortening 3 cups sugar 8 oz. cream cheese (softened) 3 cups all-purpose flour 6 eggs 1 tablespoon vanilla ⏩ Instructions Preheat oven to 325-degrees. Cream the butter and shortening together. Add the sugar and continue to cream. Add the cream cheese and beat until light and fluffy. Alternate adding the flour and eggs and mix until completely blended. Add the vanilla and mix. Pour into a greased bundt pan. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.

BUTTERMILK CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE FROSTING Ingredients : 2 1/2 cups sugar 1 cup shortening 6 eggs 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 3 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup buttermilk Chocolate Frosting Ingredients : 1 stick or 1/2 cup butter or margarine softened 3 cups powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 5 to 6 tablespoons milk 1/2 cup cocoa I use Nestles 100% pure cocoa ⏩ Instructions : Cake Instructions: Beat sugar, shortening, vanilla and eggs together with spoon or mixer. Mix flour, salt and baking soda with a wire whisk and add to creamed mixture. Add milk and continue mixing until smooth. Divide between 3 sprayed cake pans and bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes until centers test done. Let cool and remove from pans. You can frost with any frosting you like. I use chocolate frosting. Chocolate Frosting Instructions: Mix all ingredients with mixer until spreading consistency. Spread on cake.
